A shocking video arose from a roadside eatery in Delhi's Jahangirpuri, showing a dead lizard in Chhole Bhature, which sparked an agitated customer warning others to avoid the stall.

The woman had packed the Bhature home where she discovered the dead animal and returned to the food stall, filming the video warning other customers while shouting at the shopkeeper. "Don't even take water from here. There might something in it as well." The woman then urges someone to dial the police helpline number to escalate the matter and draw legal action.

A while later, the Chole Bhature stall's owner was seen apologizing to the customer for the ordeal she encountered. "Maida had lizard in it…I admit the mistake done by my labour. I will take care that such mistake is not repeated in future," he said while taking responsibility of his stall and its produce.

The viral footage was uploaded on X (formerly Twitter) by ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’, with the caption "Kalesh over a Customer found De@d Lizard in chile bhature while Eating in Delhi." The owner replied that his stall Rajkamal Chhole Bhature is at different places each day in Delhi. Bazar Sector 15 on Monday, Jahangirpuri on Tuesday, Avantika on Wednesday, Sector 13 on Thursday, Sector 16 on Friday, and Sector 7 on Saturday with Sunday being a day off.

Sinc it has been shared, it has amassed over 190,000 views, sparking heated debate amongst netizens. One user remarked, “Nowadays Street food & Hygiene are poles apart Avoid eating out as much as possible.”

Another commented, “This maybe true/fake. When it comes to preparing or serving food, Maintaining hygiene & standards is non negotiable!”

“No hygiene, no safety, Only play with Common man health and sentiments,” one person asserted.

“I have stopped eating street food no need to glorify these things . I cook my own food and eat,” another comment read.

“Don’t understand why do people eat outside in India. Given we all know how hygienically they make them…. Even in shiny restaurants, they don’t even wash veggies,” someone commented, expressing frustration and disbelief.

"I've been to Delhi but just ndls and Nizamuddin never stayed for more than 1 day. Now after all this nonsense condition of Delhi's food being exposed, I will never prefer form the streets there," added another.
