In a now-viral video posted by YouTube channel Tricks Tube, hosted by Azil Basheer, the vlogger spoke to a teen who recently after much hard work modified his Maruti 800 into a Rolls Royce replica. Hadif from Kodungallur is an automobile enthusiast who had previously constructed a small jeep from a motorcycle engine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hadif loves Rolls Royce, so when a friend gave him a non-functional Maruti 800, he made it his mission to turn it into a Rolls Royce. Hadif’s father has been his staunch supporter and has frequently sponsored the majority of the customisation work, however, it took him several months to complete the project due to financial constraints.
Before beginning his work on the car, Hadif had designed and measured everything. He used metal sheets which were then cut and soldered onto the car to make it look as much close to an actual R.R as possible. While, the wide grille, elegant headlamps, and bumper look like they belong on a Rolls Royce, the car keeps the factory 800 steel rims with wheel covers on the sides. The original 800 doors remain in place, however, Hadif made significant changes to the rear which means that the hatchback now has an expanded boot that resembles a Rolls Royce.

Hadif also had the signature Rolls Royce ‘Spirit of Ecstacy’ adornment made by a local artisan from near his home. The car’s taillights are of a Maruti 800 and the interiors haven’t been changed either but the seats were obtained from a BMW through a friend. The console and steering wheel which are the same as a Maruti 800 are done in brown, while the body is mostly white with a black bonnet. Hadif further said that he plans to make additional replicas and cars in the future.
While, this is not the most polished version of the Rolls Royce, it is definitely fascinating to watch what this young man has done to a Maruti 800 while being on a budget of just Rs 45,000 which is just half of a recent iPhone.
