Uber launches ‘Uber Pet’ service in Bangalore, allowing pet-friendly rides

Uber, one of India’s leading ridesharing platforms has launched its new feature called “Uber Pet” in Bangalore, allowing the pet owners to take their pets with them for rides.
The service is exclusively available on the Uber app that enables users to pre-book the ride for themselves or for their pets. The app provides a convenient transport system to the commuters and gives a better and safer transportation option.
The new feature allows pet owners to travel with their pets without any obstruction during the journey. With “Uber rides,” drivers are notified in advance that a pet will be on board with the passenger, ensuring a smoother and hassle-free experience for both parties.
Uber Pet was launched to address the needs of the growing number of pet owners seeking transportation options that allow their pets to travel with them. This feature also provides additional earning opportunities for all Uber drivers.

Uber Pet service can be pre-booked from 60 minutes to 90 days in advance and is currently available in Bangalore only.
The service was launched in India in 2013 and has completed 3 billion rides till now. It operates in almost 125 cities across the country making it an easy and comfortable transportation option. The platform offers a variety of transport options from e-bike, auto, cars to buses and aims to meet Various intra-city and inter-city travel needs.
UberCopter
Uber also offers a service called UberCopter, which represents the future of urban air mobility and transforms urban aviation. Initially, the service was operated between Manhattan and JFK International Airport in the U.S. Users can book a seamless, multimodal journey including an Uber ride to and from the heliports with just a few taps. If your journey is starting and ending within the designated zone, you’ll see Copter as an option in your Uber app.
You just need to set your pickup and drop-off locations one in Manhattan and the other at JFK airport to see Copter’s service on the app.
However the service was not appreciated by the users due to its high price and time consuming experience.
Uber Boat
Apart from the UberCopter feature, Uber has also expanded its service to the seas. From private yachts to water limos, Uber has entered the yachting game.
Uber announced its boat service in 2019 stating that it plans to expand its Uber Boat services to exciting destinations like Ibiza, Venice, and Athens. new options will feature private yachts, water limos, and more, making it easier for travellers to enjoy the water in style.
