The incident took place at around 4:45 AM while the actor was handling the weapon. According to reports, the bullet struck his knee, and he was immediately taken to CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai for medical treatment. Hospital sources have confirmed that Govinda is now out of danger.
He was preparing to catch an early morning flight to Kolkata and was admitted to the hospital at approximately 5:15 AM. Doctors have removed the bullet from his leg, and the actor is reported to be in a stable condition. Police officers arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and have taken Govinda’s revolver into custody for further investigation.
Govinda’s family and management team have not yet released an official statement on his condition, but his manager, Shashi Sinha, spoke to ANI and clarified the details of the incident. Sinha explained, “Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata when the revolver fell from his hand and accidentally fired, hitting his leg. The bullet has been successfully removed, and he is fine now.”
