Enforcement Directorate summons YouTuber Elvish Yadav in money laundering case

The ED is investigating the alleged generation of illegal funds and their use for organising the rave parties.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT2 winner Elvish Yadav to appear in Lucknow on July 23 for questioning. This is in connection with a money laundering case related to the snake venom at a rave party incident.

In May, the federal agency registered a case against the 26-year-old Yadav under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). This action followed the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) and a charge sheet against Yadav and others in the snake venom at rave case.

According to ED sources, Elvish Yadav was initially scheduled to appear before the agency this week. However, he requested a postponement due to his professional commitments and overseas travel.

Investigation into Snake Venom at Rave Case

The ED is investigating the alleged generation of illegal funds and their use for organising the rave parties. The summons to Yadav follows the questioning of Rahul Yadav, also known as Rahul Fazilpuriya, a singer from Haryana allegedly linked to Elvish Yadav. Fazilpuriya was questioned by the ED this week in connection with the case, according to a report by news agency PTI, and he may be called again for further questioning.

Elvish Yadav’s legal troubles began on March 17 when he was arrested by Noida Police for allegedly providing snake venom at a suspected rave party that he hosted. Following his arrest, he was produced before a court and placed in 14-day judicial custody. However, five days later, Yadav was granted bail by a court in Noida. Five other accused individuals, all snake charmers, were arrested in November and later released on bail by a local court.

In April, the Noida Police filed a charge sheet exceeding 1,200 pages. The charges included snake trafficking, the use of psychotropic substances, and organising rave parties.
