PM Modi releases Rs 20,000 Crore to 9.26 Crore farmers, Performs pooja At Kashi Vishwanath Temple

During the eKisan Samman Sammelan in Varanasi on Tuesday, June 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed Rs 20,000 crore as the seventeenth instalment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) to about 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers. After winning the seat in the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi was making his first visit to his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi.

More than 30,000 women from Self Help Groups (SHGs) received certificates from him as Krishi Sakhis during the programme.

In his first speech to the crowd following his victory in the constituency’s parliamentary elections, Prime Minister Modi greeted the residents of Kashi.

He expressed his gratitude to them for picking him three times in a row.

“I’ve turned local for Kashi and even Maa Ganga seems to have adopted me,” Prime Minister Modi declared.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the significance he places on farmers, narishakti, youth, and the impoverished as the cornerstones of a developed India and noted that the government’s first action upon its creation was directed towards farmers and low-income households.

The Prime Minister stated that many people will benefit from these decisions on the three crore extra families covered by the PM Awas Yojna or the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi installment.

He also mentioned the Krishi Sakhi project, describing it as a significant step towards the goal of producing three crore “Lakhpati Didis.”

According to the prime minister, the programme will guarantee the recipients’ dignity and a steady stream of money.

PM Modi saw the Ganga Aarti and did Ganga Poojan at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi following the event.

It’s a captivating experience to see the Ganga Aarti at Kashi. In a post on X, PM Modi stated, “The sacred Ganga is beautiful, bright, and full of devotion. These things make it special.”

Prime Minister Modi visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple after the Ganga Aarti and did Baba Vishwanath’s puja there.

“At the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, I offered prayers for the prosperity of 140 crore Indians as well as the advancement of India. In a post on X, PM Modi wished for everyone’s happiness and health, as well as for Mahadev’s blessings to always surround us.
