Prominent media figure Rupert Murdoch marries for the fifth time at the age of 93, to his 67-year-old girlfriend, at his farmhouse in Moraga, California.
According to a report he got married to Elena Zhukova, who is a retired biologist.
After his engagement with ex-police officer Ann Lesley Smith abruptly ended in April 2023, there were rumours that Murdoch was dating Zhukova. She moved to the US from Russia and is a retired molecular biologist.
Murdoch, who has six children, was initially married to Patricia Booker, an Australian flight attendant. But they got divorced in the late 1960s.
His second wife, Anna Torv, was a newspaper reporter. They were together for over 30 years before getting divorced in 1999.
His fourth marriage was to model Jerry Hall, who was a longtime partner in Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
Australian-born Murdoch owns a media empire that includes The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and other major media outlets. According to Forbes, he is worth more than $20 billion.
Last November, Murdoch gave control of his global media empire to his son Lachlan and moved to emeritus status.
