A 30-year-old Russian national named Mikhailuk was arrested from the Golf Course Road in Gurugram, India for selling drugs on Saturday (May 11th). Russian man arrested has been selling Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and concentrated cannabis (commonly known as Charas).
Russian Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Gurugram
The police said that they recovered 0.25 grams of LSD and 250 grams of concentrated cannabis. The arrest happened after a tip-off and they carried out a raid.
A senior police officer told that Mikhailuk was being interrogated to find the drug trail. They were also verifying his visa and passport.
According to reports published on Saturday, Mikhailuk arrived in India six years ago on a tourist visa and overstayed his visit even after his visa expired. Police that he had been living across villages in Himachal Pradesh since then.
The man would peddle drugs from Himachal Pradesh to Gurugram and would sell them to random customers who visited roadside food stalls at night, the report said
An FIR was lodged against Mikhailuk under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at the Sadar police station Gurugram. Further investigation into the case is underway
