UP Woman kills her husband as he plans to give his sister gold ring and TV on wedding

Police have detained five individuals, including Chabi and her brothers, and have initiated legal proceedings

In a tragic turn of events at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh, a dispute over a brother’s present to his sister escalated to violence, resulting in his death. The man, Chandra Prakash Mishra, was attacked by relatives of his wife after he chose to give his sister a gold ring and a TV for her marriage. This incident occurred in a village within the Barabanki district.

Reports indicate that Chandra Prakash, aged 35, had intended to bestow these gifts upon his sister for her wedding set for April 26. His wife, Chabi, did not agree with his decision, leading to a fierce quarrel.

In anger, Chabi called her brothers to confront Chandra Prakash, who then severely beat him with sticks for around an hour, as noted by authorities. Relatives of Chandra Prakash hurried him to a hospital, but he ultimately died from his injuries.

Police have detained five individuals, including Chabi and her brothers, and have initiated legal proceedings. The police have confirmed the arrests and stated that the investigation is ongoing.

In a separate incident earlier in February, a Bengaluru woman, upset over not receiving a wedding anniversary gift, is alleged to have stabbed her husband while he was sleeping.

On the morning of February 27, the couple argued over the absence of an anniversary present, leading the 35-year-old woman to stab her 37-year-old husband, Kiran, with a kitchen knife as he slept.

Kiran managed to fend off further harm and sought help from neighbors before getting medical attention for his hand injury. The police were notified, and a case was filed against the woman on March 1.

Kiran explained to the police that his grandfather’s recent passing prevented him from purchasing an anniversary gift, which caused tension between the couple.
